Step 1: Visit UIDAI’s myAadhaar portal.
Step 2: Scroll to the bottom and click ‘Lock/Unlock Aadhaar.
Step 3: Read through the instructions and click ‘Next.’
Step 4: Enter your virtual ID, full name, Pincode and captcha and click ‘Send OTP.’

How to lock your Aadhaar Biometric using mAadhaar:
Step 1: Download mAadhaar from the App Store or Play Store.
Step 2: Log in to the app using your mobile number.
Step 3: Click on the “My Aadhaar” icon.
Step 4: Enter the Aadhaar Number, Captcha Code and OTP.
Step 5: Select ‘Biometrics lock’ to lock your Aadhaar Biometrics.
How to lock Aadhaar biometrics through SMS?
Follow these steps to lock the Aadhaar by SMS.
Step 1: Send an SMS with the message below to 1947 using your Aadhaar registered phone number.
‘GET OTP. The last four digits are in your Aadhaar Number.
Step 2: Your phone will send you an OTP.
Step 3: Send a message with the message below to 1947.
‘LOCKUID Last four digits Aadhaar Number 6-digit OTP’.
In the SMS, enter the last eight digits instead of the last four if you have used your mobile number to register more than one Aadhaar.

The system will display the error code ‘330’ if you attempt to authenticate your Aadhaar using biometrics but have already locked your Aadhaar. The ‘330’ error code means that the Aadhaar is locked and biometric authentication can not be performed.
